EcuTek™ and MHD™


The Exception: Bootmod3™

We have discovered an exception to the terminal layout and pinning diagram published in our ReFlex™ Harness Install Guide and our Body Domain Controller (BDC) Instructions PDF for the Bootmod3™ tuning platform.

Bootmod3™ will utilize terminals 35 and 36 in the black connector inside connector A258 7B, instead of terminals 18 and 19 in the gray connector inside connector 2B. See below.

(*Please note that the wire colors for the BMW™ B58 Gen 1 platform will be different.)


Connector A258 3B: Blue Connector

Terminal 1 (yellow/green) will be replaced with the red wire from the TMS Can + Power Splitter, and terminal 24 (black/brown) with the black wire.


Connector A258 7B: Black Connector

Terminal 35 (black/yellow) will be replaced with the green wire from the TMS CAN + Power Splitter, and terminal 36 (white/yellow) with the yellow wire.




*BMW™ B58 Gen 1 Platform

The BMW™ B58 Gen 1 platform and the following car models will have different target terminal wire colors.

2015-2019 BMW™ 340i F30/F31/F34
2016-2019 BMW™ 440i F32/F33/F36
2016-2021 BMW™ M240i F22/F23

As mentioned above, Bootmod3™ will utilize terminals 35 and 36 in the black connector inside connector A258 7B, instead of terminals 18 and 19 in the gray connector inside connector 2B. See below for the pinout diagrams.

 

Connector A258 3B: Blue Connector

Terminal 1 (green/white) will be replaced with the red wire from the TMS Can + Power Splitter, and terminal 24 (brown) with the black wire.


Connector A258 7B: Black Connector

Terminal 35 (red) will be replaced with the green wire from the TMS CAN + Power Splitter, and terminal 36 (red/blue) with the yellow wire.




De-Pinning

To de-pin, depress the terminal tab with a de-pinning tool while gently pulling the wire away from the housing. Repeat for the second slot if the tab catches. For more details on this de-pinning tip, click here.



TMS Can + Power Splitter

The TMS CAN + Power Splitter will connect the ReFlex™ Harness to the body domain controller (BDC).
