The Body Domain Controller (BDC) section of the TMS ReFlex™ Harness Install Guide video and the BDC Instructions PDF include detailed instructions for de-pinning the terminals in the connectors and inserting the new terminals from the TMS Can + Power Splitter.

Below is a tip for de-pinning to reduce the risk of damaging the terminals while de-pinning them from the connector.

Terminals

The connector that is removed from the main housing has two rows of slots through which the terminals can be seen. The terminal slots are numbered along each side of the connector, as shown in the drawing below.

De-Pinning

When de-pinning, depress the terminal tab through the first slot of the connector with a de-pinning tool while gently pulling the wire away from the connector.

Repeat this same motion to depress the terminal tab again if it catches on the second slot of the connector.

Important Note

Do not force the wire out of the connector if there is resistance, as this may cause damage to the wire or the terminal tab. Use the de-pinning tool, and gently pull the wire out.
